With the goal of promoting circular economy and sharing the innovative business model with the industries in Taiwan, Sinotech Engineering Consultants, Inc. partnered with other organizations on 16^th October, 2015 and held “Forum of Circular Economy for Innovative Business Models.” In this forum, many experts were invited to exchange the points of view on the situation of the circular economy in Taiwan and its development in the near future.

In light of receiving positive feedback and gaining high recognition after holding the “Forum of Circular Economy for Innovative Business Models,” Mr Yen-shiang Shih, President of Sinotech Engineering Consultants, Inc. initiated SCEDA with other organizations that shared the same concept and philosophy. Since then, SCEDA aims to tackle the bottlenecks of linear economy on the environment and the industry, as well as establish a platform for igniting faith in the circular economy in Taiwan.

July, 2016

After three preparation meetings on confirming the organization’s goals, visions and other affairs, SCEDA was officially founded on 26^th July, 2016. The first General Assembly was also held at the same time. Mr Yen-shiang Shih was elected as the chairman.

Sep., 2017

On 20^th September, 2017, SCEDA was registered as a public association with the certificate number of 1050058748.

July, 2019

The second term committee members were elected through postal voting. Mr Yen-shiang Shih was re-elected as chairman for the second term. The General Assembly approved this resolution on 23^rd July, 2019.
